About the Authors

Kalai Vani Kalimuthu
Kalai Vani Kalimuthu is a Lecturer from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). She obtained her Master in Economics and Bachelor in Economics at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Her main research area is related to Labour, Development and Environment. She is actively undertaking research and scholar activities. Aside from presenting papers in in conference proceeding, she has also published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and has secured several research grants.
Vikniswari Vija Kumaran
Vikniswari Vija Kumaran is an assistant professor in Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. She has completed her PhD in Economics in 2016 under the fast track doctorate programme in Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her expertise in Economics field particularly in Environmental Economics, Energy Economics, Efficiency, Development Economics and Digital Economics are reflected through her publications in various refereed journals; WOS, Scopus and chapters in book published by Elsevier and Springer and actively involved in both internal and external research grants.
Foo Chuan Chew
Foo Chuan Chew is an assistant professor from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). He obtained his PhD in Economics, Master in Economics and Bachelor in Economics at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). His areas of research interest include the economics of education and the economics of consumer behaviour. He is actively involved in various research projects and publishes in local and international journals.
Thurai Murugan Nathan
Thurai Murugan Nathan is lecturer from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). He is pursuing his PhD in Economics in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. He obtained his Master of Science (MSc.) and bachelor’s in economics (majoring in international economics) at Universiti Sarawak Malaysia (UNIMAS). His areas of research interest include the environmental economics, development economics, and agricultural economics. He is actively involved in various research projects and publishes in local and international journals.
Muhammad Baqir bin Abdullah
Muhammad Baqir bin Abdullah is a Senior Lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Islamic Finance, Management Sciences and Hospitality, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (UniSHAMS). Muhammad Baqir holds a PhD in Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). His experty in the field of Economics Education, Economic Finance, Labour Economics and Input-output Analysis.
Siti Nurul Munawwarah
Siti Nurul Munawwarah is a lecturer at Taylor's University's School of Finance and Economics. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from University of Malaya. Her research interests include housing and urban economics, economic development, and household studies. His research focuses on urban issues and challenges. She is the main author and co-author of the academic research and newspaper that specialises in urban economics, poverty, the digital economy, financial well-being, and urban quality of life. She was previously involved in the Community Engagement Project, which involved indigenous communities and small business entrepreneurs.
Mohd Khairi Ismail
Mohd Khairi Ismail is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Faculty of Business & Management and is currently the Coordinator (Coursework) at the Graduate Studies Center, UiTM Cawangan Terengganu. He holds a First-Class degree in Bachelor of Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Distinction in his Master of Economics study from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He then completed his PhD studies (Environment and Development) in 2019. His areas of specialisation are Development, Education and Financial Economics. He has contributed more than 50 articles in the form of journal articles, chapters in book and proceedings papers. In addition, he was also appointed as an editorial board and article referee for SAGE Open, Estudios de Economia Aplicada, MDPI Journals and many more.
