About the Authors

Ewe Lay Sheng
Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ewe Lay Sheng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Equipped with a PhD in Physics (UKM, 2008), a Master's in Material Science (UPM, 2002), and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Physics (UPM, 2000), Dr. Ewe is an expert in various courses including Statics, Dynamics, Physics, and Circuit Theory. Dr. Ewe's research focuses on superconducting materials and material sciences, with applications in acoustic fiberboards, magnetoresistive materials, and friction stir welding. She is also a reviewer for renowned international journals such as Applied Physics A, Physica Scripta and Journal of Advanced Research in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge in her field.

She is certified as a Professional Technologist (Ts) by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). Dr. Ewe is also an active member of several prestigious organizations, including MBOT, the Malaysian Solid-State Science and Technology Society (MASS), the Malaysian Oil Scientists' & Technologists' Association (MOSTA), the American Association for Science and Technology (AASCIT) and an active committee member of the Malaysia Association of STEM Olympiads (MASO). Her teaching and research excellence have been recognized through multiple accolades from UNITEN, including Best Teaching Awards in 2016, 2017, and 2021, and the Best Researcher Award in 2010. Beyond academia, Dr. Ewe is committed to community service, currently serving as an advisor to the Persatuan Pengajian dan Pembelajaran STEM Malaysia.
Mohd Khairul Domadi
Mohd Khairul Domadi is a dedicated educator and researcher in the field of mechanical engineering, currently serving as a lecturer at the Polytechnic of Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah, Malaysia. With a strong academic foundation, he holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia, focusing on advance machining process modeling and simulation for sustainable engineering composites.

Mohd Khairul has extensive experience in non-traditional machining applications, instructional design, and big data analytics. He has contributed significantly to research through publications in international journals and conferences, particularly in laser cutting processes and sustainable manufacturing. As an active member of the engineering community, he is affiliated with the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

In addition to his academic contributions, he is a certified Autodesk Instructor and an experienced trainer in various engineering-related fields. His passion for education and innovation has led him to win multiple awards in engineering competitions, including gold medals at the National Innovation and Invention Competition and the Polytechnic Final Year Project Exhibition.

With a commitment to advancing mechanical engineering education, Mohd Khairul has coauthored multiple textbooks, including Engineering Mechanics; Polytechnic Series, ensuring that students gain practical and theoretical knowledge in the field. His expertise and dedication make him a valuable contributor to the development of future engineers.
